Caitlin and Emma | Toolamba | The Vault | Shepparton Wedding Photographer

I first met Caitlin when she was bridesmaid in her sister’s Wedding which I was the photographer. I loved Will and Sonja’s day, it was at the Woolshed and quite honestly feels like an absolute lifetime ago.

When Caitlin contacted me some time after saying she was getting married and would love me as the photographer I was so touched and super excited!

Caitlin and Emma is my second same sex marriage and I was so bloody excited to be the one to capture every precious moment of it. I can’t wait to capture my next in October. It’s something that took way too long to be legalised in this Country but thank god we are finally where it should’ve always been, Equality!

Caitlin and Emma both got ready at the Quest and it was so awesome to have not one but two wedding dresses to capture. The morning was so calm with their rooms only a couple of doors apart, I just floated between the two relaying messages and making sure all the planning was running to schedule.

The Ceremony was held on Emma’s parents property that they’d worked hard on in the lead up and boy did it pay off, it was nothing short of perfection.

So now we are about to walk down the aisle and again it’s like the not one dress but two thing, only this time it’s Emma and her Dad’s. Walking half way down the aisle then stop and swapping Dad’s to walk the remainder of the way. It was so special and it’s things like this that really make your day yours.

After the Ceremony formalities we headed off to make our way back from Toolamba to The Vault for the reception but of course stopped off on the roadside to capture the bridal party photos. I made the comment that the cars going by will toot and carry on because it happens all the time. I think about 10 went by before one actually did toot!

The Vault is a quirky venue and Caitlin and Emma had all their little touches on it. They played the shoe game which was my first one I’d ever seen and it was hilarious!! Are you familiar with how it’s done? Caitlin and Emma sat with their backs to each other. They had one of their own shoes and one of the others shoe. The MC then asks a question. If you think the answer is you, you hold your shoe up.

I said my goodbyes just as the dance floor was just starting to get carved up. The party was about to start!
